Ministerial Response to Jerseys Citizens' Assembly on Climate Change
Jersey's Minister for the Environment has published the Ministerial Response to the Citizens' Assembly on Climate Change Recommendations. This is the final official response the Jersey Citizens’ Assembly on Climate Change which published its recommendations in June 2021. The Assembly was tasked with answering the question: “How should we work together to become carbon neutral?”
This is the second time that the Minister has provided an official response to the Assembly's recommendations. The Minister's initial response was published in November 2021. The new report indicates the importance of timing in official responses: in the intervening months, several proposals have moved from "under consideration" to "accepted".
