The Knowledge Network on Climate Assemblies (KNOCA) aims to improve the commissioning, design, implementation and impact of climate assemblies, using evidence, knowledge exchange and dialogue. We are an active community of policy makers, practitioners, activists, researchers and other actors with experience and interest in climate assemblies who co-create activities and knowledge.
KNOCA Innovation Market 2025

We’re excited to announce the upcoming KNOCA Innovation Market, taking place on Wednesday 28 May 2025 at 15:00 CET. This event is part of a regular series that brings together members of the KNOCA community—officials, practitioners, researchers, and activists—for a lively exchange of new ideas and experimental approaches that could shape the future of climate assemblies.
Watch this space for a detailed agenda by the end of April.
The Innovation Market is a space for discovery and connection. It’s where we explore the cutting edge of deliberative democratic practice—whether it's new ways to support learning and deliberation inside assemblies, fresh models for recruitment or recommendation writing, or bold proposals for integrating assemblies into wider democratic systems. It’s a space for inspiration and challenge, where the KNOCA network learns from one another and pushes the boundaries of what’s possible. If you’d like to get a feel for what an Innovation Market is like, you can watch the recording of our last edition here.
We are currently curating the agenda and would love to hear from you. If you or your organization have an idea you’d like to share—whether it’s something you’ve piloted, developed, or simply want to explore with others—please get in touch. To propose a topic for this edition of the Innovation Market, send a short description to info@knoca.eu with the subject line "Innovation Market" by 22 April 2025. We’ll let you know shortly afterwards if your idea will be included in the event.
We look forward to another inspiring session of collective imagination and innovation. Save the date, and we hope to see you there!
