Luxembourg climate assembly launches final report
On Thursday 15 September, the Luxembourg Kima-Biergerrot (Citizens’ Climate Assembly) presented its final report to Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, the Minister of Energie Claude Turmes, and the Minister of Environment Joëlle Welfring. The report contains 56 recommendations to accelerate and intensify climate action in Luxembourg. The launch of the report generated a fair degree of media coverage.
A plenary debate on the KBR report is planned in Parliament on 25 October 2022. A working group comprising representatives from various ministries has been established to coordinate preparatory work to incorporate the proposals of the climate assembly into the discussions on the update of the National Energy and Climate Plan (PNEC).
The final report in French is available on the KBR and Government websites and can be downloaded below.
KNOCA will make available a summary of the KBR process and organise a learning call in the near future.
